Submit your timesheet

Applies to Workletto 1.x.

When an admin turns on timesheet approvals (see Approve timesheets), everyone submits each week for a manager or admin to approve. Weeks run from Monday to Sunday. If approvals are off, none of this appears.

A week on the Time page with Submit week at the top right
  1. Open Time and go to the week you want, in the day view or the week view.
  2. Check your time, then click Submit week, at the top right of the Time page.

The button becomes a Submitted badge with a Withdraw button. You can’t submit a week that hasn’t started yet.

If the week has no time in it, Workletto asks first: “Submit a week with no time?” and “Do this only if you didn’t work that week.” Click Submit to go on, or cancel.

Stop your timer first. If a timer is running on a day of that week, the app says “Stop your timer before you submit this week.” and doesn’t submit.

While a week is submitted or approved, its time can’t be changed: you can’t add, edit, move or delete entries, or start a timer on its days. The Time screen hides those controls and says why:

  • “This week is submitted. Withdraw it to make changes.”
  • “This week is approved. Ask a manager to reopen it to make changes.”

You can still look at the week. The lock applies to everyone, and only that one week.

Click Withdraw next to the Submitted badge. The week is open again and you can change it. You can only withdraw a week that is still waiting. Once a manager has approved it, ask them to reopen it.

An approved week shows an Approved badge and “by” the name of the person who approved it. It stays locked until a manager or admin reopens it. Reopening makes it an ordinary open week again, which you submit again when you’re ready.

A manager can send a week back, with a note. The Time screen then shows a red notice, “Sent back by” their name, with the note. A sent-back week isn’t locked: make the changes, then click Submit again.

On the Time screen, if last week hasn’t been submitted, or was sent back, a notice says “Last week (Oct 12 – 18, 2026) isn’t submitted yet.”, with a Go to last week link. It disappears when you submit that week. Weeks are written this way everywhere: the Monday, the Sunday and the year.

If your app can send email (see Send email from the app), people whose last week isn’t submitted also get an email with a link to that week. It goes out once, on Monday from 9:00 in the time zone an admin chose under Manage, then Settings, in the Timesheet approvals section. Without email, the notice on the Time screen is the only reminder.

Submitting, withdrawing, approving, sending back and reopening are all written to the history that admins can read under Manage, then History.
